A queer mythology of superheroes, warriors, mermaids, and impossible figures built on one belief: difference is not a flaw to overcome. It is a source of power.

The Unhidden

About the series

The Unhidden rebuilds the heroic worlds I grew up loving with the people they forgot to include. Superheroes, warriors, mermaids, witches, guardians, and mythic figures are reimagined as queer icons who refuse to hide, shrink, or flatten themselves to fit someone else’s idea of normal.

Each carries the inverted triangle as a reclaimed emblem of memory, visibility, and strength. In a world obsessed with sameness, these figures become more powerful the more singular they are. Their bodies, identities, desires, and contradictions are not weaknesses to overcome. They are exactly what gives them power.

The series takes the language of comics, mythology, and resistance and gives queer difference the scale of legend.

Why I made this

When I was young, I loved superheroes and mythic figures, but I could never fully see myself in them. The heroes got the adventure, the power, the romance, and the destiny, and almost all of it was written as heterosexual by default. I learned to love those worlds without ever really belonging to them.

The Unhidden is my way of reclaiming that space. I want to create the figures I needed back then: heroes who do not hide what makes them different and do not become powerful by becoming more acceptable.

They are powerful because they are different.

In a world that keeps trying to make everyone fit the same shape, I want these figures to say the opposite: what sets you apart may be the strongest thing you have.
