Keep Riding reimagines the classic pin-up through a proudly queer, masculine, and gloriously excessive lens.
Bearded men in high heels ride lobsters, bears, squirrels, unicorns, and other improbable creatures with total confidence. Sexy, ridiculous, virile, and theatrical, they stretch masculinity until it finally has room for all of us.
Why I made this
I created this series because I rarely saw queer men given permission to be desirable, flamboyant, funny, masculine, feminine, and excessive at the same time.
These riders are the figures I wanted to see growing up. Behind the camp and dirty jokes is a public act of visibility: take up space, enjoy being seen, and never make yourself smaller to fit someone else’s idea of a man.
